Touch-Sensitive Hand-Knit Vests

Sense Vests are knit by hand with mainly discarded, leftover scraps from locally owned yarn stores, integrated with conductive wire, enabling the Sense Vests to respond to touch, eliciting sound and imagery. Why wire? When used for fences, wire separates people. Here it is integrated in the dynamic mix of color, texture and soft yarns. Inspired by the ever-changing surface of Lake Michigan,each Sense Vest is a unique work of artisanal craft, blended with technology.
